Shivalik Bimetal Controls Ltd., incorporated in the year 1984 commenced commercial production w.e.f. 15^th Oct. 1986 in the state of Himachal Pradesh, is a company specialized in the joining of materials through various methods such as diffusion bonding/Cladding, Electron Beam Welding, Solder Reflow and Resistance Welding. The Company's present program includes Thermostatic Bimetal, Clad Metal, Spring Rolled Stainless Steels, Electron Beam Welded materials with Multi-gauge and Multi materials strips and Thermostatic Edge-welded strip for a broad spectrum of Industries. The products manufactured by the company application in are used for Industrial, Automotive, Aviation, Electronics, Medical and Domestic Appliances.

Shivalik is one of the very few companies in the world which has the manufacturing ability to produce Hot Atomic diffusion Bonding and Electron Beam Welding of different materials and components thereof under one-roof.

Over the period the company has been continuously exploring various expansion/diversification plans and the possibility of joining hands with companies having expertise in the related field with global presence. Accordingly, Shivalik ventured into forming Joint Ventures and Associates, the details of which are as under:-

Checon Shivalik Contact Solutions Private Limited (CSCS)

In the year 2005, the Company entered into a Joint Venture Agreement with Checon Corporation of Massachusetts, USA to have manufacturing facilities for Electrical Silver Contacts and as a result a new Company with the name 'M/s Checon Shivalik Contact Solutions Pvt. Ltd.', having its Registered Office at H-2, Suneja Chambers, Alakananda Commercial Complex, New Delhi - 110019, was incorporated in December, 2005.

Both the companies joined hands to pool their respective expertise, experience, and technical knowledge to operate a JV company in India to manufacture Electrical contacts. These are produced from the bonding of silver alloys with the base metals like brass and copper. CSCS has its world class manufacturing facility, based in Solan (Himachal Pradesh, India), using the latest technological processes to manufacture these critical materials and components.

This JV's main motive was to combine, the expertise of Shivalik Bimetal Controls Ltd. with that of Checon Corporation, USA to make high quality Silver and Silver Alloy based electrical contact materials and assemblies, using world class equipment and professional manpower clubbed with decades of manufacturing experience.

CHECON and SHIVALIK own 50: 50 Ownership Rights (Shareholding) in the JV Company and also equally represent the Board of JV Company on 50: 50 basis.

Innovative Clad Solutions Private Limited (ICS)

In the beginning of the year 2008, a JV Company namely M/s Innovative Clad Solutions Pvt. Ltd. having its Registered Office at H-2, Suneja Chambers, Alakananda Commercial Complex, New Delhi - 110019, i.e., ICS was incorporated.

The shareholding in the JV Company is presently held by Shivalik & Aperam with Aperam constituting as a majority shareholder and Shivalik as a minority shareholder. Both the Companies have combined their respective expertise, experience, marketing network and technical knowledge for manufacturing Industrial Clad in the Special Economic Zone located at Pithampur, Distt. Dhar, MP, India. ICS has established a world class Industrial Clad manufacturing facility at the referred location.

Shivalik Bimetal Engineers Private Limited (SBEPL)

Shivalik Bimetal Engineers Pvt. Ltd. (SBEPL), having its Registered Office at H-2, 2nd Floor, Suneja Chambers, Alakananda Commercial Complex, New Delhi - 110019, was incorporated on February 27, 2008 under the Companies Act, 1956.

The company possesses technical expertise relating to manufacturing. The Associate Company is engaged in the business of providing technical services relating to development, design and fabrication of dies and tools.

Shivalik Bimetal Engineers Private limited consists of capabilities for designing of press tools (CAD) & their manufacturing. All type of Press Tools like progressive, Fine blanking, Bending, Drawing operations, etc. are manufactured by the Company.

SBEPL also has facility of hardening the different Tooling Material like HcHcr/EN31/EN24etc.
